That White Dress

Do you remember Diane Lane in Under the Tuscan Sun? You know, the movie that tends to appear on the Women's Entertainment network occasionally in order to remind us, females, that we can scoot off to Italy and have epiphanies with intriguing Italian men as we maneuver through whatever crisis we might be suffering through? Well, epiphanies and all, my favorite scene is when Ms. Lane is finally "freeing" herself and discovering the lovely world of Italy in a simple yet sophisticated white dress as she rides on a scooter to find her lover.

And while white may have all these rules attached to it, it brings such liveliness to those who want to create a color palette with it. The white dress comes in a wide array of styles which I find to be so convenient and daring. It has become a staple in our closet that designers have many-a times updated the cut and style.
