Going to the Met was simple enough for me- take the 6 train and ride it all the way up to a whole new world in nyc. This was far from the crowded streets of downtown and the avant-garde dressers. Although, walking through the Met and getting out of it is always the dilemma for me. Especially, when I read about the
Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit. Then I went bonkers- twice in less than 24 hours.
Upon approaching this dark room wedged and hidden within the Egyptian art, I found heaven. Love actually when I found this beautiful black silk dress with a low draped back and a classic rounded high neck. The kicker: a lime green strip following the drape from the back. It was beauty beyond words and quite frankly I would recommend seeing this exhibit for yourself to take in all that this has to offer. The complexity is not just within the clothes, but within the conversation that was so very well created and directed (Bravo Baz Luhrmann). Feminism and art at its finest!

Post Met outing, my BFF, Saucy, and I trekked our way to
Laduree, the French macaron shop. Soft, sweet, and delectable to perfection! I could not have been more pleased to taste a bit of Paris on Madison Ave!

Merci, Laduree for setting up shop in NYC! And Grazie, Miuccia and Elsa for creating life into women's fashion!
