Yesterday afternoon, the animals on the pier went berserk as they pulled out the contortionist stunts and feisty animal showdowns. It was an episode of Animal Planet, NYC style and I was taking a front row seat at this event.

However, I was mildly inspired by these fair-weathered animal friends and the impression they have made on jewelry. Jewelmint has gone jungle crazed and my intense love for animals has caused me to incorporate these animal inspired jewels into my collection of "whatjamacalls its."

My love for animals has even extended to pendants, but of course crystals can make any ordinary animal look like a superstar. Prince Charming, are you there? Animal inspired jewelry has become all the rage these days but it can remind us of the precious world that we share with these simple creatures. So, recycle and be animal friendly.
