I crossed my fingers for an entire week in order to have wonderful weather for the annual Veuve Clicquot polo classic and guess what? My wish came true! Wet grass and gloomy weather? Fear not!
Summer prep, fancy hats, glamour gals, and J Crew covered head to toe males played the role of polo match attendees for Saturday's annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event. This made people watching even more amusing and 10x more fun than gawking at the people in Chelsea because I do love the outrageous outfits that come out for this particular event. I especially love how crazy they get every year.

The hoards of Polo attendees (Mahanttanites) flocking to Liberty State Park got some of the New Jersey Residents tongue tied and at times confused. One asked if we were all on a field trip, as she scratched her head in confusion. Once on the main camp grounds of the event, it was more a fashion mecca than anything else and I was at ease.
But there was always a solution to the craziness that instilled here. The photobooth- where it could go beyond crazy here. Although, not much of an actual photobooth, but a tent with a camera. It sufficed. Champagne and popsicles included.
But if taking pictures isn't your thing, a bluegrass group can tickle your musical side for a few minutes and take you back a few years and into country land.
The main event was something that couldn't be missed. Whether you're a polo fan or not, the horses were just beauties on their own. Nacho on a horse was an eyeful of fun to gaze at as well.

With all the fun that ensued on Saturday, it's now time to get back to the grind. Can't wait til Summer 2013's polo match!
